My History
In 2006, I graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Oklahoma Health Academy in Tulsa, OK. Because of the licensing regulations in Oklahoma, I was able to work as an LMT while I was in school, which was a great opportunity for me to gain extra experience while learning the modalities. I quickly became a Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association (#192163) and certified by the National Certification Board For Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (#513523-06).
I am passionate about continuing my education so that I can better serve my clients , and as such, I have studied CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, and Oncology Massage. Moreover, my future plans include studying Lymphatic Drainage and Mayan abdominal massage, teaching Reiki, becoming a Yoga instructor, and obtaining a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
My Philosophy
I believe in the meeting point of medical massage, energy work, and therapeutic bodywork to help my clients heal on as many levels as possible. My mission is to help people feel better in their own bodies so that they can enjoy their lives to the fullest, as well as do those things that they enjoy the most. This goal applies to anyone who walks into my massage room, including special demographics such as people who are terminally ill, athletes in the middle of training, and pregnant women. While I do have clients that ask for a specific modality, most clients will receive a combination of therapeutic massage, CranioSacral, and Reiki. I use an assortment of massage techniques to help facilitate the healing of body, mind, and spirit.
I call my style “therapeutic massage,” which can range from light, relaxing pressure to deep, invigorating pressure, and everything in between. My approach to massage is also very intuitive. What I mean it this: your body knows exactly what it needs to heal itself, so by listening to your body and connecting with your higher self, I can adjust my work so that you receive exactly the kind of work that you need.
